As every year, on the occasion of Muslim Lent, the general management of the Ivory Coast stock management company (Gestoci), which wants to be a corporate citizen, went on April 27, 2021, to the depot of Yamoussoukro, to distribute food kits to its customers in the hinterland to help them observe this penance in better conditions.
This social action, which has now become an institution every year, is called "IFTAR de Gestoci", which means breaking the fast ".
These are the hinterland customers who get their petroleum products from the Gestoci Yamoussoukro depot.
In total, more than 120 kits made up of various food items were distributed by Ben Konaté, head of the communication and public relations department of this citizen company, and Ouattara Adama, Yamoussoukro depot manager, to the truckers present.
"We are in a month of sharing. These donations have therefore been offered for 9 years now, to our clients in Mali and Burkina Faso, to strengthen the commercial ties that unite us with these clients" underlined Ben Konaté who represented the general management. at this ceremony of high social significance.
It should be noted that national Muslim clients have not been forgotten in this surge of solidarity from Gestoci. Especially since after the hosts from Côte d'Ivoire, customers from various hydrocarbon distribution companies operating on Ivorian soil were also served in food kits for the Istar (breaking the Muslim fast in Arabic ).
It should be remembered that a dozen media partners of GESTOCI received, a few days ago, their share of food donations, consisting of bags and boxes of rice, milk, oil and sugar. This, in order to allow journalists to do their "IFTAR" in peace.
