| AWARD OF EXCELLENCE: Ackah ZRIMBA - Best Agent of the Abidjan-Vridi Petroleum Terminal Depot "TPAV"
“I have been at GESTOCI since the fourth quarter of 1998; and I was hired in April 2000. For the award I am receiving this year, I will simply say that I feel a sense of pride in knowing that the work I do within the company is appreciated by my managers and colleagues.
This Prize is nothing more than recognition for good work. But let it be clear, it does not in any way reflect any incapacity of those who did not receive an award. Their turn will certainly come. Personally, I have always performed my tasks with the understanding that the rendering of my work does not suffer from any anomalies. I will do my best to always stay on course.
GESTOCI is an essential link in the economic and oil stability of this country. I say this because its creation stems from very specific objectives. For what I have seen since I have been here, GESTOCI will do everything to exist for a long time. This company is an essential link in the country's economy; and as long as the Ivory Coast exists, GESTOCI should be able to exist. Which is to say that the actors that we are, should play our part with all the professional conscience that its development requires.
It is the result of this hard work that has made me one of this year's recipients. With appetite coming with eating, I need to work my way up the ranks to be better positioned in the chain of command at the corporate level. Hence the need to work harder to get there.
Until then, I continue to do my daily chores. As a depot agent and Head of the Black / Jet A1 Product Section, I have a work organization role; management of the workforce at my disposal; supervision of all operations carried out. More specifically, my section is in charge of loading tank trucks carrying Jet A1, Fuel, Bitumen and weighing tank trucks carrying butane.
As far as my collaboration with my colleagues is concerned, there is only one formula: "No pressure, no tension, no mood should exist in the section". If something is wrong, a meeting is called to discuss it, talk about it and start afresh. For the rest, the working procedure serves as a compass for us all. "
