| Improvement of working conditions: GESTOCI acquires a latest generation of fire truck
On July 26, 2021 in Abidjan, the Société de Gestion des Stocks Pétroliers de Côte d'Ivoire (GESTOCI) received a latest-generation fire truck which will improve the working conditions of its staff.
“We had a vehicle that was obsolete and when there was an intervention to be done it was a source of concern. With the current purchase of this vehicle, we can take those stressful times as an old memory. I am counting on the users for a valuable maintenance and good use of this machine ", rejoiced the Managing Director, Ibrahim Doumbia in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Jean Taï Glahou.
The Managing Director of the Karela Prestige Group, Karim Douamba, a service provider, thanked the managers of GESTOCI for their trust and assured them of his full availability in their collaboration.
Very happy with the acquisition of the vehicle, the Director of Quality, Hygiene, Safety and Environment of GESTOCI, Mamadou Dosso, congratulated the top management of GESTOCI. "We would like to congratulate the Board of Directors and the General Management for their efforts to always raise the level of the technical platform in the fight against fires", he said.
The vehicle has a fire pump flow rate of 400 m³ / h, with a tank capacity of 10,000 liters of water plus 5,000 liters of foam type foam concentrates: synthetic AFFF from 1 to 6%. It also has an autonomy of four hours, continuously connected to the network; and a maximum speed of 120 km / h. Finally, the truck is designed for areas near the sea and very efficient in the event of a large fire.
Note that this type of fire truck has been designed for around fifteen countries, including the Ivory Coast, Germany, Brazil, France, Morocco, etc. It brings the number of GESTOCI fire trucks to three, including two in Abidjan and one in Yamoussoukro.
