Yamoussoukro, May 17, 2022 - The Deputy Director General (DGA) of Gestoci, Nina Keïta Kamara, underlined on May 17, 2022 in Yamoussoukro, the quality of the work and the expertise of the students of the first class of the École Supérieure du Petroleum and Energy (ESPE) from the National Polytechnic Institute Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB).
It was at the end of the Master's degree defenses, by the students of the 2020-2022 promotion, after two years of training.
“As president of the jury, I was very impressed by the quality of the students' work and their expertise. They are now an important breeding ground, a pool of skills for the oil sector in Côte d'Ivoire,” she said.
Nina Keïta Kamara, who chaired one of the juries during the presentation of the final dissertations, noted the very good level of the students in general, and especially of the four (4) applicants she had to examine.
The DGA of Gestoci indicated that the creation of the ESPE is the fruit of the vision of the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, who aims to make Côte d'Ivoire an oil hub in West and Central Africa. And this requires, she continued, the formation of quality human capital in the field.
In view of the excellence of the work and the quality of the research within this establishment, the DGA of Gestoci expressed the wish to invest in more collaboration between its structure and the ESPE, with a view to a win-win partnership.
She also argued that the Oil School of Yamoussoukro is a great opportunity for achievement for Ivorian youth. "With the ESPE, young Ivorians wishing to train in Oil and Energy no longer need to go abroad for the necessary studies... The human resources from this school are just as high quality as those coming from “Europe or America…”, she concluded.
